As as a result of Morelyn's thread (http://www.gog.com/forum/darklands/cant_search_game_documents), I took the existing guide and cluebook, ran them through the OCR function in Acrobat, and also used it to add bookmarks to the document to make it easier to navigate. GOG.com have replaced the existing ones with these new versions. Enjoy!

And now these improved versions are available for download in everyone's account :D

Thank you, oceanclub :D
The manual that comes with the installer doesn't seem to have been updated. I bought the game in the Atari! Atari! deal, but had to download the manual separately to get the updated one.

Yes, that's because they didn't change the installer for one manual - they updated the downloadable one.

Actually, check your account :P. The updated manual is now part of the installer :D.

Are you sure? Unless you changed it after the Atari promotion recently, the updated version isn't part of the installer.

I'm afraid I have rather too poor internet (and filespace) to make it worthwhile to redownload the installer to check if it's been changed, though.

Strange... I haven't seen a "Your game has been updated" flag for Darklads, either in January or more recently.
I might eventually check the installer to see, though - maybe the flag was missing for one reason or an other.

Re-download the manual again :) The good one weighs in at 50 MB :)
