It's worked for me since installing Windows 10. The mouse is a little sluggish but the game itself runs fine.
Guys, I think I found a solution on Win 7.

- Right click on corsairs.exe and select "Properties";
- Select the "Compatibility" tab;
- Check the "Disable desktop composition" option; (it will disable windows aero while the application is running)
- Apply and confirm, then start the game.

After all this my game runs like a charm: no lags inside the main menu, no lags while moving storage ship/ship or ship/city and, most important, no lags while boarding!

Unfortunately I noticed an increased instability, so crashes are more frequents but still, the game runs better than before, just spam "s" to quicksave and you're good to go!

I hope this will help you all: this is working for me, anyway, and I thought that this could be helpful to others having the same issue.

UPDATE: I found that Map1 in adventure mode (English campaign) is the only one to be bugged: going forward with the campaign, playing the other maps I had no bugs nor crashes.

My guess is that it has to be related to the graphic card. Mine is an old AMD Radeon 5750 and it is working fine with Aero at 1920x1080 (game crashes some times but no lags issue)

Hello,

Adventure mode is missing in the GOG version (see http://www.gog.com/forum/corsairs_gold/main_menu_missing_adventure_mode).

How do you manage to get it work ?

Thanks in advance.

I just started a "New Adventure" in the main menu, that's the standard campaign.

I wrote "Adventure Mode" in my previous post but I made a mistake, sorry. :)

Too bad. I thought you had found a solution to the Adventure mode issue.
Thanks anyway.
How could I? It looks like files are missing from the GOG build because they received an incomplete or corrupted master file. I would try to use files from my original cd (or it was a dvd? I can't remember) Corsairs Gold copy but I have that cd/dvd put in a cardboard box in another house, so I can't right now... even if I'm unsure that they would work on the GOG version, I believe that some files has to be configured to work correctly and I think that's beyond my abilities.
