If you are unable to load any games through the Load Game menu, the game is probably trying to look in a particular path for a certain folder and failing. The game seems to be hardcoded to look for game saves in C:\Users\<current user>\Documents\SCI\DesertStorm (for Vista / 7, similar location for XP).

So, if your savegames aren't appearing, make sure you create this folder. I have all of my documents (and the special folder mappings) on a different drive, and this gave me a bit of a headache for a couple of days.

Thanks, I haven't played the game on Windows 7 yet but this information should prove helpful once I decide to do so.

The game needs to be launched through DesertStorm.exe located in the installation folder instead through the GOG one located in the same folder. Make a new desktop shortcut with the original .exe as the target. I just figured this out.
