I've got an Asus X200M. It's got a touch screen, which I thought would be a super cool way to play games like Caesar III.

Instead, the touch screen doesn't work in-game. Also, when I try tapping on the touchpad (which usually counts as a click outside the game), it doesn't do anything either. I have to click the touchpad's buttons, which... to be honest, this laptop's mouse buttons are kind of awful. Not a problem outside of the game because I can tap to click, but in the game, I'm stuck either using awful buttons or an external mouse.

I've tried getting new drivers from Asus, looking at Control Panel / Mouse for options (it's listed as a separate device with some OEM-specific drivers, but nothing jarring and nothing configurable), and in the BIOS, but I've found nothing. Still thinking of other places to look...

Anyone seen similar problems?

Some of the more modern features of computers don't work with older games. You must use a traditional mouse and keyboard for games like this, tapping on the touchpad and not using the left/right buttons provided don't count as an actual "click" so it doesn't register within the game.

A USB mouse costs very little money, at most £10. If you need a cheap one, there's plenty going on Amazon around £5 which do their jobs just fine.
