Hello all,

Recently got BS 5. From the game's website, it says there is a Linux version. I bought from GOG because, well, GOG. I attempted to download and install it on my Linux partition, only to find out that the Linux version isnt on GOG.

Anyone know anything about this? Does GOG just not carry the Linux version?

As a follow-up, assuming the Linux version isnt here, anyone have any help/suggestions/tutorials on how to get the game running under PLayOnLinux?

Yes, you're right, no Linux version on GOG (no idea why, probably they need more time to test it), only Windows and Mac.

Thanks. I've seen threads on Gog that talk about games on Gog that support Linux which GoG doesnt have (or in several cases didnt have but now do.) While I've used various flavours of Unix off and on, I am new to PlayOnLinux. I'll give it a go and see what I can come up with.

It's not very complicated. Check this tutorial to get started:

There's a good chance BS 5 will come as a Linux release. GOG started last year to adding Linux games, but as they're taking support seriously, they test the games and prepare their support team for it. The amount of Linux games is increasing continuously as promised by GOG. We may just have to have a bit patience.

Cool news indeed, just a minor detail.
It seems that the Linux download also accidentally pops up on the list of Windows files. Might be misleading for some.
