Is it possible to either enable text during dialogue, or play the floppy disk version so i can get text rather than spoke dialogue? The store page says the floppy disk version is included but i can't find it.

Run the installer for the game, go to Options, and make sure the box by BloodNet (FDD version) is checked :)

Thanks, that did it. Gonna have to start a new game now on the floppy disk version now tho. Shame that you can't enable text during the CD-ROM version, there is just too much speech to sit through every word of it. I just spent about 20 minutes talking to everyone in a room.

You can try this:

I personally haven't but supposedly the text somehow does come on :)

Just gave it a try and it does enable the text but it disables the combat sound effects too so guess it's one of the other.

Kinda tempted to play it like that since it dosn't really have any sound effects outside of combat and it means i'll have the extra graphics and FMV.
Thanks for this info. The voice acting is kind of comical, but it takes an hour to sit through. I found myself skipping everyone's dialog, and then I had no idea what was going on.

You, sadly, need to sit through both the spoken and the written form of the dialogue due to some required clues being in only one or the other but not both. Not to make the game harder but because it's a hot mess of bad code and half realized ideas.
