I played for about an hour, created several save files while playing.

I quit the game and reloaded it, and it started me in the pub again. Pressing select just brings up a "PAUSED" graphic.

How do I load my save game ?

Through the options menu (default key: F7).
Had the game sometimes pause instead of bringing up the options too, not entirely sure what causes it but alt-tabbing out of and going back into the game seems to solve it.

While in Wolf Form for example, pressing F7 or F1 (for the inventory) does indeed just pause the game and not bring up the corresponding options resp. inventory screen.

When in the main menu games are loaded from the load screen found in the options menu. :-)
