Does either Blitzkrieg 1 or 2 support widescreen? I'm interested in 16:9 ratio, or 1600 by 900 resolution.

It does have a 1600x900. That's what I just set it to on my computer. I was just coming here to find out if high resolutions are available.

Hi, I want to use my default resolution (1920x1200), too.
Does anyone know, how I can activate it?

Left from "SetVideoMode" you find an resolution entry.
Change the value to whatever you want to.

Works nicely in 1680x1050x32 for my LCD,
altho when I change anything else in Video Settings ingame it reverts back to 640x480.
Then I edit the cfg file again so not a big deal.

Just for an extra datapoint for others, I edited the config and changed the resolution from 1600x1200x32 to 2560x1600x32, saved, then started the game and it did not take that and reverted it to 640x480 as per the post above mine. I exited the game, changed the resolution to 1920x1200x32 in the config and saved, tried again -> that worked. I exited and edited it again and changed it to 2560x1600x32 one more time and this time it worked. Very strange!

Anyhow, if anyone sets a resolution and the game rejects it, exit and reconfigure the same resolution again and it seems to work. I know that doesn't make any real sense but for some strange reason it seems to work anyway. :)

help,my blitzkrig 2 is not working, I started the game, it shows the video and and that's it, only a black screen and a mouse who knows what's the problem?

Try opening a new thread as people are unlikely to reply here as this is a dead thread about widescreen support. You can also contact GOG support at the link at the bottom of the page for assistance also.

Could someone type it out exactly where to put these parameters for 1920X1080 in BK1. I put it to the left of SET video mode and nothing changes. Thanks
Never mind it worked but it doesn't change in the menus. In game it's good.
