Are you using OpenGL? I had the same issue.

I had to use this FogFix addon to get rid of the excessive white. In order to use this add-on, you have to install BoDLoader.

All the instructions should be on that page, it is definitely not hard to do and fixed everything for me.
Ok I need help. I got the BoBLoader on but am confused as to where to go from here. Where do I get the fogfixer?
Can someone give me a step by step plz?
The fix must be in the BODLoader installation folder and the files in a subfolder called "\Mods\Fogfix":
"E:\Blade of Darkness\BODLoader\Mods\Fogfix", in my case. Create it if is not there.

Then you'll need activate the fix, in fact the fix is managed like a mod, and BODLoader is some kind of embedded Modmanager.
If BODLoader is properly installed you'll see in the main menu of the game an option called Mods (I mean in the menu when the game is already running, not the "launcher" menu), then select "Setup", find the Fogfix mod and choose "Install". Go to "Installed Mods" to ensure that everything is OK, the fix will be listed there when is active.

In the main menu > Mods > Setup > find FogFix and then > Install.

And that's it.

It's a known issue, but it's as dragonbeast6 said this level is meant to be extremely foggy.
If you're playing on openGL it's a bit unplayable. Change it to 3dfx or D3D and the fog will be more transparent. For some reasons it don't work so good on openGL even if you mess with fog options available in setup menu.
I play with openGL and it's not too foggy. I wanted to take a screenshot to post it here but when I press Print and put it in Paint there is only a black screen. Don't know how to take screenshots.
For screenshots I recomend Fraps :)

I can confirm this works it's all that stopped me quiting the game in fustration. Gorge of Orlok without this is so white as to be unplayable.

I didn't find much joy with anything other option.

Please can anyone help me. I've installed BODLoader and got the Mods option, and put the fogfix file into the Mods folder as described (I think...), but when I choose Setup in the game, nothing happens at all.
If I choose Maps it tells me there are no maps available, but Setup doesn't do anything.

Any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong? In simple terms please...
Don't worry - fixed it. Found a version that works
Just gonna throw this out there.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TELLING US HOW TO MOD THE UNPLAYABLE FOG LEVELS.

I would've had to stop playing had this not been available. The gorge is completely unplayable otherwise; you wouldn't know a chasm was there until you had already fallen off.
