hmm waddaya say?
Quite a bit. Says planned release date August 26th, but I'm guessing that's early access.
Still cool to see how the game is in the not so far future.
Definitely yes! I just hope they'll add some voice over because that always adds to the immersion, but what i read and saw of this game so far sounds great!
Isometric, party-based, RTwP-combat... Well, gameplay-wise it seems to have everything I love. When story and writing in general are good, it's a must-have for me.
I agree. Still, I hope the early access phase won't be too long. And i hope the developers share their plans about the future of the project, like dlc roadmaps or a season pass edition and so on. Definitely can't wait to learn more about it and finally get my hands on it...

Just saw this while browsing upcoming titles today. It looks quite good from the gameplay perspective at least I hope it has a good story to match. I don't know that I am hyped about it exactly but defintely eager to give it a try.

I was when I backed this game on kickstarter a lot of time ago. It was planned on 2019 now it will be early access in 2021 without any planned translation while in early access and it will not be released on Mac and Linux for weeks.
So I'm not hyped anymore... Too much time for a still not complete game. I asked for a refund and got nothing. I believed in this project, it's the kind of work that will allow you make you understand to never crowdfund anything... I still would like to believe there are people that can keep promise and that can keep a schedule made by them but I think promise are not enough anymore to convince me to crowdfund games, from now on I will only crowdfund game with a good demo, data that will tell much how much money goes where and or a history with good crowdfund release.

Ouch that hurts.
Schedule must be top notch in these cases, man. Don't they ever learn?

I understand your point, i had my fair share with Kickstarter in the past, second to none the infamous "Little Devil Inside" what is overdue now for 5 years without any updates from the developers, not even answering questions or emails.
"Black Geyser" is a bit different, in my opinion. They reply to questions (at least on email, they don't seem to read the gog forum, what i feel is a pity), and they seem to be close to releasing the title in the not so distant feature. So honestly, I'm having high hopes in this game, and I'm really looking forward to it! I totally understand your disappointment about the delay, but honestly i prefer a game that took longer, has a rich content and is close to bug free, than a rushed project that could have been so much more.

I think the most important thing in a crowdfunding is trust.
If you promise a release date you should be sure to meet it and you cannot miss it by 2 years.
They decided the release schedule and I think they wasted a lot of time because they released today a still incomplete version of the game without any localizations, and Mac and Linux versions still missing.
I know there are worst project then this one but there are also project that tried/will try to do everything in the right way and they will be damaged by projects like this one because people will not trust them.

People trust in crowdfunding is low for this reason.

Anyway I will finally be able to play this game in a still incomplete form, just to justify the 16€ that I wasted (not all of them, just a little bit). Next time I will not crowdfund a game that I'm not 99% will keep the promise about the release date

From your point of view, i totally understand that things did not go as you expected. I was at that point before that i became frustrated about backing video games, in fact almost all of the projects i backed were canceled (money lost) or heavily delayed. But the few that made it to the end were just very beautiful and I do not regret backing them, even though they were late by years. You know, we never know the reasons behind it, but i think we can be sure that it will be good ones, because delays cost money...and an unfinished, buggy game costs even more. So, i hope you will enjoy this game when you will be able to play it and maybe it will surprise you in a positive way. For me, i can only say that I'm having it on my radar for a few months now and I'm looking forward to it :)
I just discovered this game. Definitely interested.
Interesting.Only just found out about this. Anyone got this and also Solasta?. any comparison at all?.

Solasta is pure turn based. If you love turn based then it will be right up your alley. Solasta reminds me a lot of icewind dale as the combat takes center stage, not much roleplaying. The character models are about equal (both games are kinda ugly). This game's story is interesting a little different and that's definitely a plus. While some people harp on voice work for Solasta, I didn't find it that bad, some of the lines are delivered flatly, but when you read them they are quite funny. This one has decent voice work I think the downsides of this game so far are font size, hard to tell whats going on when you;'re in combat. A lot of thngs aren't explained yet. Solasta's fault lies in its ruleset its tied to 5th ed D&D, and a lot of classes aren't there. Also some races are missing and its finished, where this game is barely in development.

Me.
Solasta more focused on combat aspect implementation and feel of DnD5e, very true to it, but lighter on roleplaying and story.
Black Geyser more in the vein of Baldur's Gate with realtime with pause, so yeah more in the feel of a general immersion on role playing.
Hope this helps
