Is there a way to see what the builders are working on? Maybe a work order list? I have a couple of buildings that I have assigned that aren't being worked on. I don't know if they are busy working on something else that I forgot about.

I found the triangle arrow pointing right that is right to the number of workers. So now I know where the workers are at but not their job list. It would be nice if there was a to do job list. I'd be able to tell if my priortizing worked.

I've changed my techquie from placing multiple structures and hoping they get built in the order I want to placing my structures and pausing them until I'm ready for them. Basically I'm learning to micromanage more.

We cannot see the lists. What we can do is click on an unfinished building. Top centre of the info panel that comes up will be the symbol for builders with three numbers, e.g. 1 of 2; 3 which means 3 workers total are assigned as builders, the building has room for 2 of them, but has only been allocated one. So the others are on other building jobs. Nominally. Click the symbol to see who the assigned builder(s) are on this site.

Problem is a building project generally has three phases: (1) site clearance (2) delivering materials (3) actual construction. (1) and (2) are general laborer tasks; only (3) requires actual builders. So while top-of-the-list construction jobs to which they are assigned are not ready to go, builders turn to next-highest ones that are (or to road-making, which only they can do) but the displays are not corrected for this.

The "increase priority" button is poorly named - I think of it as meaning "this is what I want done first". Which can only apply to one site at a time (or area, grouping several sites). Giving priority to one area takes it away from the previous one. Repeatedly clicking the same place won't make any further difference.

That said, prioritizing does work, but there can be long lags. Because work takes last place in citizens' personal life-work balance.

Thanks for the quick response. It was so quick I didn't even notice it for a while. I think I was getting impatent and I definitely wasn't utilizing all the tools I had availble. My population slowly dewindling while I kept trying to build at the same rate didn't help either. I've played war games for a long time where you simply click to produce a worker. Going through some learning curve pains.

I'm off to find the button to change the architectural style of the houses. I'm sure I saw Honeywell do it in a video.

Thanks again for the response.

F button cycles through six different shapes of house.
