One of the many thing that annoys me about this game (Baldur's Gate 2) is that when you die, the game does not let me look at the combat log to see how I died. How am I supposed to learn from my mistake if I don't know what killed me?

I have also been irritated by this and have found no way to do so although I may be missing something I don't believe it is possible the load or quit option takes over the screen and you can do nothing else but choose. I also expected that to have been changed in BG EE but apparently it wasn't. It really robs you out of what I consider to be vital information.
