Hi guys, just a quick question.

Right now I have the BG series installed and I'm running easy Tutu.

Then I found out about BGT after a few hours of play. My question is: Is it possible to remove Easy Tutu, keep my saves, install BGT and then play those saves?

I agree - much prefer TuTu. Better supported and maintained, among other things...

I disagree. I much prefer (when I do use either) BGT over TuTu, which introduces many flaws that BGT does not. The only thing that TuTu has going for it (over BGT) is that you can install it completely independantly... I do like that part.

Thanks for your replies guys, I did end up going with BGT. More features, can't go wrong with that. Kind of running into a problem now though. I intend to play the original series over Enhanced Edition, but Enhanced Edition has a new PC voice that is just too tempting. After a lot of fighting, I finally the necessary files and plopped them into my bg2 sounds folder. They show up properly, but no sound plays.

I didn't want to make a new thread for this, was wondering if any of you might provide some assistance?

I'm not certain, but the EE wav files may be encoded differently. Have you tried converting them to signed 16bit wav files?

I haven't actually. Might sound like a noob question, but is there any software you'd recommend to do that?

EE's sounds files, despite the .wav extension, are generally .ogg files.

Anyway to correct this?

Audacity (free) will do it.

Found out the problem, thanks guys.

The BG EE sound files were 44khz whereas the BG2 sound files need to be 22khz

Was an easy fix using audacity.
