I remember having this problem yeeeaaaaars ago and there was a fix, however i dont remember it.

Anyway in the underdark i went to meet Solaufein by the illithid lair to rescue Phaere. I talked to him then stupidly i entered the illithid lair and had to finish it. Now he wont start the event.

Does anyone remember the fix for this or is there a patch i need to dl thatll fix it?

I know you can work around it by reloading an older save the problem is i dont have one.

Have you tried talking to him again? If you have, and he doesn't respond, open the console and type in:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("SolNoTalk1","GLOBAL",0)

Then talk to him again, and the sequence should restart.
