Hi,

one more question about multiplayer. I have problem: "You can't conect to session"...

1.) Firewalls on both computers are disabled, (firewalls and anti-viruses)
2.) We play clean version with widescreen mode (without widescreen mode was the same problem)
3.) I add [Multiplayer] AsyncEnumeration=1 to our .ini files
4.) We both play at 1280x800
5.) We have both window mode on
6.) We have the same version of the game...
7.) Each of us have diffrent name
8.) Each game have diffrent host name
9.) I can ping him and he can ping me, in other games multiplayer works correctly
10.) We both have win 7 64 bit
11.) Our games are not instaled in "Program files", but in other drive
12.) We run our games with "administrator"

and even now we can't connect :( I can see his game, but I cant connect to session, and he have the same problem...

Whats going on? It is any posibility to play at multiplayer?

Are you using internal or external IP addresses? If you're in different locations you need to set port forwarding in your routers and use external IP addresses, not your internal (192.x.x.x) ones. You can find your external IP addresses by going to a website like whatismyipaddress.

We are in the same location (the same house, the same internet connection).

I have the same problem in:
1.) Hamachi
2.) LAN (cable conneciton)
3.) LAN (wireless conncetion)

I have no idea what to do :(

Btw. great avatar ;)

I don't know what steps you have taken -- heck, I don't even know which game you are playing (1 or 2) -- but a mistake that a lot of people make is to overlook the importance of steps 'Multiplayer' >> 'Connect' >> ''TCP/IP' (IMPORTANT), then one person creates the game (no need for both), then the person who DIDN'T create the game must enter the IP of the person who DID create it, NOT theirs.

Have you checked in permissions, and have 'Listen to join requests' checked off?

Yes, full permission for all players and 'Listen to join requests' checked, because when I checked it off I can't see server with game.

I can only think it must be some issue with your network setup. I know a lot of people have issues with older games and multiplayer, (and BG is no exception), while others have no problems at all. Without being on-site, it's difficult to know what else to suggest. Hopefully somebody else will chime in with more advice.

Thank You Hickory for Your time! Maybe I should install some mods or patch or something else?
You could try Gameranger. I was not able to play Heroes of might and magic 3 online, I tried using Hamachi, didn't work, but it worked on the first try when playing over Gameranger. I also see lobbys of people playing BG and IWD on there.

If you have the GOG version you need no patches whatsoever, and the only fixpack I would recommend is this one (including hotfix for Jondalar). Mods for BG1 are not legion, and it's also subjective how good they are, so I am usually reluctant to recommend any. Other than the fixpack, the only mod I install every time is Unfinished Business, purely for the Elven Charm and Sleep Racial Resistance component. Of course, none of this is going to help you with your multiplayer issue. :)
