though the "battle cry" option is enabled I hear no battle cries from either the main characters voice set nor the party. I have tried enabling and disabling the cries and re-enabling it still nothing. all other commands come out fine, audible but no battle cries. Also some of the spoken dialogue gets cut off, such as in the training mission, when Xan says "sometimes you don't know what an item does" it is supposed to continue "to find out click on the item!" most importantly the battle cries are totally absent. I have also noticed that when you disable text captioning of characters it is enabled regardless of the setting it shows up.

It looks like it is a bug. Check the next link where, at the first comment, one of the developers of the game talks about it.

The comment of Liam Esler, one of the devs, about the problem: "It might not be a hot-fix (it's an engine thing, so that's not really possible), but it's something we're actively looking into fixing."

The more discrepancies I read about the 'Enhanced Edition', the less I want to play it.

though Neera's battle cry does sound annoying, I want to hear everyone else's(including my custom voice set) and Male 4 and 5 who I sometimes use for my swashbuckler and paladin respectively they sound great! also I think it should always be a player choice whether to enable battle cries or not, it should not be removed for everyone. I never ask Neera to join anyway. not my problem if some find her annoying.

and don't count on a fix. this post was 2015. that problem still ain't fixed folks!
