I bought Baldur’s Gate Original Saga and Baldur’s Gate 2 Complete Edition yesterday and I’ve spent the better part of today looking at mods. Thanks to the helpful mod guides in this forum space finding the best ones was easy. I only have one little problem I need help with and I can be on my merry way.

You see I’ve chosen to use Baldur’s Gate Trilogy, I’m sure you’re familiar with it, and I’m just stumped on how to go about installing my other chosen mods. Do I install BGT and then all the Baldur’s Gate one and two mods in the Baldur’s Gate 2 directory, or do I install all the Baldur’s Gate 1 mods in its own directory and will BGT kind of “Import” them over? As I understand BGT just moves and implements the original Baldur’s Gate files.

I hope I haven’t worded this in a confusing way. If it helps these are the mods I have chosen to install:

Baldur’s Gate Trilogy WeiDU
Ascension WeiDU
Baldur’s Gate 1 Unfinished Business
Baldur’s Gate 2 Unfinished Business
Oversight
Baldur’s Gate 2 Fix Pack
Baldur’s Gate 2 Tweak Pack
WideScreen Fix

The BigWorld Project pdf is pretty much the last word on proper mod install order. You can get it here:
http://www.shsforums.net/files/file/534-big-world-v11-english/

But in most cases you only need to know what the BGT readme tells you:

"As a general rule, install Baldur's Gate 2 Fixpack first, if you plan to use it, then install the mega-modification, BGT-WeiDU, and then all other modifications on top. Specifics in installation order are in a state of flux, so more detailed advice cannot be given.

If you want to play BGT-WeiDU without the mega-modification but with other modifications, install Baldur's Gate 2 Fixpack first, followed by BGT-WeiDU, and then all other modifications on top.

Be mindful of compatibility issues. Current compatibility between BGT-WeiDU and other modifications are listed here [i.e., in the Readme]. Possible compatibility between sets of other modifications should be queried to their respective authors."
Having played through with BGT I can confirm the above.

As an example of what your'e asking:
I've just started my 2nd playthrough and installed the BG1 Banter Pack by placing the exe in the BG2 directory (as that is where the install is - BGT copies BG1 over to there and that's where you should install all your mods).
