In BG2 there is no way to move the camera diagonally using keystrokes - that is, to push up + right on the arrowpad to move the camera North East, etc. I find it absolutely infuriating, especially after playing PS: T which you are able to do this.

Vanilla BG1 doesn't even have camera scrolling at all with keystrokes, though I have since modded it using the Newbie Mod guide, which is great.

Is there either:
an ini file I can alter to allow for this? or,
some mod that adds this functionality in?

I'd love to know.

I'd also just like to ask, have any of you also found this to be a problem? How do you generally play the game? Do you use the mouse for camera movement, or are you constantly moving the camera manually yourself with the keyboard...? I'm a D&D newbie and was just wondering how the average player would play this kind of game.

Thanks for any responses. I appreciate it.

I always used the mouse. Found it much easier myself.
I sometimes use the mouse and sometimes the arrow-keys - both work well enough for me. I guess a diagonal scroll would be handy but I've never found the up and right of arrow keys or just diagonally with mouse in the corner to be an issue.
