So I was like "How do I get Baldur's Gate II to have bigger fonts that aren't way oversized from the one text mod?" then I had a good idea. Since I used Ghostdog's totally sweet mod for Planescape Torment, I checked the extracted files from that mod and sure enough there is a fonts folder with plenty of subfolders with fonts of different sizes.

There are 4 folders, each with 4 sizes. I assume that the 4 main folders are for the 4 different percentage increases that his mod offers, and then the sizes are just for in-game continuity of font ratios for different menus and whatnot. I didn't want to bother experimenting right now so just I copied FONTDL1.bam from my PST override folder to the BG2 override folder and renamed it normal.bam (which the one BG2 mod had) and that got me the good fonts I'm using for PST. I don't know if TRMTFONT.BAM is the same or not. It'd be pretty easy to experiment with different files to find what works best for you.

You can also name it floattxt.bam for floating text or toolfont.bam to change the tooltip font size, but I think it's best just to leave the resizing to dialogue. Still, if you really want to, since the folders are named after the different font sizes, you can pick exactly the ones you want for the different elements. This may also work for Icewind Dale.

Now my eyes don't dread the epic of BG2.

I thank you for this post. I tried Corvias' mod but did not need such a large font for standard text, and disliked how so many lines didn't fit right. On my 1440x900 screen, the 13 font is a good replacement for override/normal.bam that is still much more readable than the stock result after installing EasyTutu and Widescreen.

Edit: I found a copy of BioWare's official larger font that it included in some copies of Tales of the Sword Coast. It's thinner than the above, but fits in dialog boxes better and is still much more readable than the default.
