Hi all,

I installed BG II fine and the game I can see the screen goes to the main screen. the issue is there are horizontal lines through the screen and it flashes.

My card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460.

I had installed the game previously with no issues (borrowed from a friend the CD) .

EDIT: It seems to only happen in full screen. I take that off in game options and I have a clear picture. I'd still like to play full screen if anyone has ideas.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Check out this post, especially config part. It's still applicable to newer Nvidia cards.
I had a similar problem and the spellhound forum tips didn't really help me.

If you're the same what you wanna try is disabling triple buffer in the nvidia driver profiles for the file bgmain.exe in the game directory.

EDIT: Just incase..

- Rightclick anywhere on desktop and open nvidia control panel.
- Go to 3D settings and choose the tab for individual programm settings.
- Click add and navigate to the bgmain.exe file in your BG2 directoy.
- Scroll down to the tripple buffer option and disable it
- Save, exit and try starting the game.
