Hello all,

I have been trying to get BG to run on my Toshiba NB305. It seems like it should be able to run OK, the specs seem in line with what is needed. My main concern is the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 at this point but I may be missing something I am not aware of. OS is Windows 7 Starter.

I have installed the widescreen mod, tried various screen resolutions, ran it as an admin with windows XP SP3. I can get to the initial start screen, but when I try to actually start the game I get the following error message no matter what I try:

An assertion failed in D:\Dev\chitin\ChVideo.cpp at line number 4256 Programmer says: No Valid video modes supported.

I haven't personally run across the problem you mention, but maybe this will help you?

Have you tried running the game in windowed mode?

I know this is stupid, but how do I get it to start in windowed mode?

I believe newer version of Widescreen mod works in windowed mode, so you could try setting bigger resolution and still play.

I will give it a shot tonight, for now I am happy to just play.

Actually Widescreen works only with new games, so if you already far into game, don't bother ;)

Hey I'm running on a netbook too, but im using XP. Does your game ever blue screen? My comp never blue screens otherwise, but everytime I play BG it blue screens within 45 mins.

It should list a file near the top when it bluescreens, which one is it?

Well, its not so near the top, but igxpmp32.sys is listed. Its somehow associated w. the video driver. I have the most up-to-date drivers though. Hmmm....
