Who is your favorite character from BG1/2? For me it's Jaheira. A lot of people say she is annoying, but I never have a party without her! I don't know what it is, but she always makes the game entertaining.
Xan!! <3
For me BG1 is not BG1 without Xan and his depression :DD

I only played BG2 twice, and burn me if you wish, but my favourite is Anomen :P I liked his romance as well. (But I'm a girl, so I didn't really have a choice to begin with :P )
My 2nd favourite is Minsc :) I never have him in BG1, but I reallly love him in BG2 :D
We're all doomed, aren't we?

But yeah, I like Xan. Anomen, on the other hand, is an arrogant prat. And a blowhard. And a self-righteous bigot. Mind you, I do like him as a character, in a love-to-hate kind of way, but as a person? Eh, no. (He does get better over the course of the game, though. And if you bring Keldorn along he'll try to teach Anomen some of the difference between genuine honour and blindly following the creed of his order.)

My favourite in both games would probably be Edwin. Who's actually rather similar to Anomen on the surface: Both are arrogant prats with beards. Edwin is less self-righteous, but more evil. More importantly, though, Edwin is much, much funnier. His introduction in BG2 is my contender for best line of the game: "My name is Edwin Odesseiron, but you simians may refer to me merely as 'sir' if you prefer a less... syllable intensive workout."

Edit: I also like Jan Jansen a lot. Again, funny. Though I can see why others find him annoying, I love his shaggy-dog stories. Plus, as his quest demonstrates, he's not actually anywhere near as crazy as he acts.

Montaron. He's a real killer. A pity the game punishes playing evil.
Yes, we are all doomed!

Oh, how could I forget Edwina... I mean Edwin!
But I always play with a good party, only add him for his hilllarious personal quest :DD
Minsc, or maybe Boo. He's hilarious, and I also like his personality.

The most fun parties are the ones where the members hate eachother's guts.

Sure, they might start killing eachother at a time you really don't want them to, but that is all part of the fun. Korgan, for example, isn't too exiting a character on his own: Bloodthirsty Dwarf. Been there, done that. But put Aerie and Jan with him in the party, and hj'll terrorise Aerie, and take a liking to Jan. Which also discomfits the gnome. Hilarity ensues.

Admittedly, there are people out there who believe in "team spirit" and "cooperation" and such things and don't think this is a sensible party-building strategy. Baffling. Just baffling.

We should party together. We would hate each other but we would make good team. My favourite is Xzar. Zentharim FTW!
I usually avoid his quest in BG 2 only to... "make his life better".
Sarevok. Brother. Boss. Beast. Dependable. Da man. Plus, he gets a second chance, a change of heart, and redeems himself. I like persons like these in games and anywhere else. To realize what you were doing that was wrong, and even change it by 180 degrees turn, is epic. Not for everyone, not everyone can or want to do it. Not everyone, if anyone at all, ever appreciates those who dare to do it. I know i do.

*throws goodberries at Hickory*

I knew these things were good for something :)
Imoen. Her calming voice and focus on the real things that matter most just make me fall in love with her virtual self.
Valygar.

His quest reminds me so much of my own real life.
