So. Firebead Elvenhair works NOT. You cannot abuse XP gain now, correct? Wrong! You still can, with multiplayer game, and export import mechanism. And a save at the level of Durlag's Tower with the 4 spirits and their riddles. Get thee to that level of Durlag's Tower. Solve the riddles, do NOT talk to spirits, drop the two items (glittering beljuril gem and bottle of wine) on the floor. Save game in multiplayer. Import the character you want to level up, only one at a time. Pick items up, talk to spirits, pause before combat, this gives you a total of 10.000 xp. Export, rinse and repeat, until you are satisfied (or maxed).

You can actually import a black pits character to the main, real game. Without loosing items/spells, even the Black Pits exclusive ones. Export your Black pits or tutorial character loaded with gear, start a new game with a random main you are going to get rid of in multiplayer. After the autosave, load game, import character, nothing is lost.

Import a stash character in multiplayer (a character you loaded with good magic, and/or expensive items, like Nymph's Cloak and Algernon's Cloak, Full Plate Mail +1, etc, and exported it), sell everything, buy whatever item you want on your main (especially in Black Pits, export it) and you are ready to rock.

Or, alternatively, import your endgame ToB character in 1EE. Some items won't be read/recognized properly, some skills might not work as intended (wish), but there you have it.

Will be updated on the go.

Please don't, no one cares about your stupid forced exploits.

If anyone wants to cheat, they can use the console and it will be a hundred times faster.

As you wish. No one cares about stupid cheaters. My mistake. People seem to be in constant need of "things going faster", but that is only if they get it.

I certainly don't care, but talking about exploits is a legitimate forum activity, and you have no place telling people not to; and you don't speak for everybody ("no one cares about..."), so... don't.

You never made a mistake; the mistake was Arthandas'. Carry on, if you wish.

The most popular walkthroughs for the Baldur's Gate games are full of exploits like this. I'd prefer not to use them myself, but there's no reason they shouldn't be posted.

Thanks for trying to patch things up. But the mistake is all mine. Not only i posted something most people are not interested in, but i answered with same tone to the reply i got. I can see my own mistakes, fortunately. Regardless if i deem fit to make amends. Again, thanks for trying to patch things up. But me at fault. I certainly wouldn't carry on, under any circumstances. Someone's freedom, ends right where the next one person's begin; i never liked stomping on others' freedom, unlike how others did to me, either on, or off, line. I will grant their request.

And over the last time period, i am in a foul mood. I recognize my transgressions on the forum. Have said many things that went overboard. Time to reflect, shut up, cool down and lay off "bugging" others, even if i totally did not mean to. Besides, in democracy and any place people gather, the majority does and should always win.

I'll just say one thing: one person's comment, however passionate, does not equate to a majority.
Personally, I am interested to see what exploits are in the EE version of BG simply to see how much has changed from the original. As of now, I have no interest in purchasing BG:EE so I wouldn't be using them anyways but for those wondering whether to get the original or the EE version, it may be a factor to consider. Not sure if they were mentioned in the BG original vs EE threads though.

On another note, doing goofy stuff and breaking the game can also be fun. This thread could simply be a collection of things you can do without having to filter through a guide for these bits. So yeah, I don't see the problem either.
You misunderstood me, I'm not against exploits, I'm against this thread in particular which is just an extension to his previous posts about EE where he just throws buckets of hate at the game because it fixes his precious exploits. Not to mention he called me a "Beamdog mutt" and a "steamed brain" just because I pointed out it's stupid to complain about bugfixes (which he even spells as "fixes" with quotation marks).
Don't worry KiNgBrAdLeY7, when Baldur's Gate: Super-Enhanced Virtual Reality comes out in 2050, the import/export exploits still be there. The goal in fixing exploits is to keep immersion from breaking for legit players. Console use or export/import abuse has no effect on immersion, since it requires active out-of-game action from the player, and would waste dev time for no reward.

Otherwise, I wanted to say how much I appreciate and love your work. Having a handy list of exploits is always beneficial for the next BG2 Fixpack release or EE patch.

Heh. Given my screen name, I just assumed that was aimed at me.

This. Every time I wanted to try something I could just use the console, and once you get the apropriate codes its a very quick process. Though after a few tries at godhood you find yourself restarting the game because you hate how easy it became lol.

The once only slayer bug will import the slayer into your house and it will then rip your head off and eat it… you will taste the blood and feel the pain as if it is really happening to you in real life.

Unfortunately bata testers are becoming difficult to contact again once they try the game?
Well, I always find it extremely obnoxious when peeps react to exploit/cheating threads like it's something to be ashamed for. Fuck you and your righteous attitude.
But at the same time, the method described here is one step short of hex editing and using 3rd party trainers. In that case I seriously wonder what's the point of wasting your time and not using the build-in console command. Smoother, faster and greater freedom towards your goal.

So I can't really blame Arthandas for his reply. The exploit is too much of a bother to be of use. If there is any new or interesting exploits though I would love to hear about them. :)
Anything that requires that level of intent and planning beyond normal game use can hardly be called 'cheese'.

Just so you know - I do find all of this amusing. However, I do not have EE. I remember reading about how to export characters with all the tomes to get your main character to all 25 stats. Does EE not have the tomes that add to stats?
