I just did a clean install of easy tutu and started a new game. I'm getting incredible lag and freezing though the audio remains unaffected. I've never had an issue like this with any of the IE games. The only thing new I've added, compared to previous installs, is the 1pp mod which I only started using recently with BG2 which works great. Well I also added to my easy tutu game so I'm wondering if there's any issues between the two?

No, there is no problem running 1pp & EasyTutu.

Do you have the same options selected in BGConfig for both your BG2 install & your EasyTutu install?
Is ddrawfix installed in both games?

Ddrawfix? Not sure. I don't install a lot of mods. My BG2 install has G3 fixpack, 1pp mod, Rogue Rebalancing mod,, tweaks, and widescreen. That's it. It's always run smooth and my past installs of easy tutu have always run smooth as well. So I'm not sure. My easy tutu is light on mods as well.. 1pp mod is the only new one I've thrown into the mix. Very frustrating.

ddrawfix is a mod that GOG installs by default (because it works well with the majority of systems)
Check your BG2 WeiDU.log
I uninstall it from BG2 before installing EasyTuTu & then install it in the EasyTuTu game. (I don't know if you need to do that thou)
Did you run BGConfig in both games & see if the settings matched? (all hardware sliders on full)

You should install tutu from a clean bg2 install... having mods in bg2 or even uninstalling the bg2 mods is not good enough to get a solid build because the mods will leave junk behind.

It will copy the settings from bg2 but they can also be set to different settings... i.e. once installed tutu becomes a different program.

OP... Please post your tutu WeiDU.log

GOG installs ddrawfix by default, you don't get a choice.

Yes, sorry olnorton I snipped to far... install tutu from a bg2 build without;

" G3 fixpack, 1pp mod, Rogue Rebalancing mod,, tweaks, and widescreen."

... ddrawfix is not a mod as such and does not effect tutu (afaia).
My Easy Tutu install doesn't have the Ddrawfix. That's odd. I did a fresh install of both BG1 and 2 before I installed tutu. Let me say though that this fresh installation of BG2 was the 2nd installation of BG2 I had on my computer. I had another one that was modded and didn't feel like deleting it and starting over so I just did a second fresh installation of BG2 to use with tutu. Afterwards I deleted both fresh installations. Maybe there's an issue there. Anyway here's my weidu....

Seeing is how your BG2 game runs smoothly with ddrawfix installed, I would install it in EasyTutu.

Just copy the whole ddrawfix directory & setup-ddrawfix.exe from your BG2 directory to your EasyTutu directory.
Run setup-ddrawfix.exe & choose "Force DirectDraw Emulation"

Uninstall the widescreen mod first & the reinstall it.
Ugh, I think I just need to start over. I've never had any of the issues before. I tried installing the ddrawfix and now I'm getting an error during the installation. It's saying...

FAILURE:
Patch Location not found.
ERROR: [bgmain.exe] -> [bgmain.exe] Patching Failed <COPY> <Failure<"Patch Location Not Found.">>
Stopping installation because of error
---------------------------------------------------------

So anyways, I have no idea what's going on. I think I just need to do it all over again. Do you think the 2nd installation of BG2 cause some sort of confusion?

cbarchuk: Do you think the 2nd installation of BG2 cause some sort of confusion?
Yes. Although it's possible to have multiple installations, accessed via modified shortcuts, installers, utilities, patches and such look for the installation path that's stored in the Windows Registry, and if that has been altered or deleted, then that's where the confusion is. Uninstall, clean your registry, re-install and don't use the game installer for extra installations, simply copy your entire (unmodded) install folder and rename it as you wish, then point to the new folder from shortcuts. The original installation is the one that will get patched.
Okay I uninstalled everything and did a fresh install. So far things have been better though I've still encountered lag issues though its not as bad as before. Regardless this is lag I've never experienced before. Also I can't seem to save the game. It keeps saying there are monsters about even after I've cleared the whole map. I went on to the next map where you first run into Elminster and it still won't let me save. Ugh...

Okay I've finally landed at the Friendly Arm Inn. The game is overall running better. The slowdowns and frame stuttering only happens when fighting monsters though its not as bad as before. I don't get it though. I've never had any performance issues with TuTu in the past much less original BG1 or 2. If anyone thinks of anything else, let me know. I appreciate all the help nonetheless.

In your TuTu folder, run BGConfig and set the following:

Hardware: Uncheck Use 3D Accelleration, General/Graphics/Sound all maximum
Miscellaneous: Cache Size 768 MB
2D & 3D Options: Check 3D Animations, Uncheck Use 3D Acceleration, Uncheck Disable Vertex Padding

Apply, Test.

Will do Hickory. I'll let you know here in a bit how it goes. Also, is there any settings that should be on or off in my Nvidia Control Panel? I just went in there and turn everything to off for the most part.
