I'm about to take another run through the game, so I'm digging up my gog files to install it. What I can't remember if there were any patches/mods that were important to install on the gog version, or if it is basically good out of the gates. Is there anything else I should install with this? Thanks.

Edit: and I can't remember, is there anything in particular I need to install so BG1 will support higher resolutions? Thanks again.

It needs no patches.
But if you want to run at a higher resolution than 640 X 480, you will need the widescreen mod.
You will probably also want TWM GUI mod.
The GUI mod is limited in the resolutions it can use.
