Just went to install Baldurs Gate & ToSC again before playing Baldurs Gate 2 and discovered & remembered that I gave it away to a friend 5.5 years ago because I had completed it and hadn't considered I'd ever go back to it.

If only I'd realised two weeks ago when it was still on sale in the GOG Xmas sale.
Sale or not it's still pretty cheap.

Raisen223: Ok, and what's your point? If you gave it to your friend, it's your fault not ours.

Don't be a jerk.
Well, if the friend enjoyed Baldur's Gate it isn't a completely bad thing isn't it? It's always good if more people get to enjoy this, according to many, best of all CRPG's.

Indeed, I'm a big fan of it and he had enjoyed Planescape Torment so he seemed the perfect person to give it too. Sadly he hasn't as yet played it, it's apparently kicking around somewhere.
Well, go get it back then.
If he hasn't played it in over 5 years, I doubt he will. It's probably lost and doesn't want to hurt your feelings. Nice of you to give it to him though!
If I were you, I'd just buy it again from Gog. I bought several games from Gog that I have on disk for a couple of reasons; I want to support Gog, I won't have to swap disks to install games, I won't need the disks when I play.
With my last computer, after putting a disk in the drive I heard a horrible grinding sound. I opened the drive and found nothing but shards of the disk. Tried cleaning the drive as best I could but it never worked again. Lukily, I found it here (IL2 Sturmovik). Another time, I lost the manual that had the CD Key needed to install the game and had to buy it again.
