I did the tomb a couple of levels too early, so I can't beat the Doomsayer. Can I return at a later date to this place, take the Idol and kill the Doomsayer, or do I get just this chance?

So long as you have the idol in your inventory, and the global variable 'doomsayer' is equal to zero, the Doomsayer should spawn. If you are unsure of the variable, open the console (before you enter the map) and type:

SetGlobal("doomsayer","GLOBAL",0)
