Is this spell bugged somehow? My party has a rep of 17 (Heroic) and my Lawful Neutral Wizard cast Friends getting Charisma 22.

According to description, discounts top at 25% at Charisma 20. What I dont understand is I went to that Thunderhammer at Beregost to buy the Shadow Armor for the Assassin. I tested if it was working, buy without casting Friends (Charisma 16 = 10.185 gp), and after casting Charisma 22 stayed at same price.

Or does it simply not work with some vendors? In which case, how can I know when this spell is useful for discounts?

thx.

EDIT: Also, I chose my CHarisma 08 Kensai to buy it and the price does not change.... at least for this vendor.

Just to make sure, is the wizard casting the spell the team leader? You know, top on the right list.
Yes, Engerek01 is correct, the charisma adjustment only applies to the team leader, not to the character who speaks to the shop owner. So your 'face' person needs to be in lead position *and* speak to the vendor. Remember that reputation also has an effect on NPCs.
Holy f..... nvr occurred to me.... thx! that was it.

Quick question: is there any reason why my Gnome with 19 Intel cannot scribe the spell Stone to Flesh? It is just there in his inventory... Maybe BG 1 allows only to scribe up to lvl 5 scrolls?

EDIT: just to clarify, it is a scroll bought in a Temple...

Are you sure it's a mage scroll and not a priest scroll? (The latter can't be scribed)

According to
http://baldursgate.wikia.com/wiki/Stone_to_Flesh_Scroll

Note: This scroll cannot be used to learn the 6th-level wizard spell
Stone to Flesh
In other words, the scroll you likely have is classified as a protection scroll (which can't be used to learn a spell), not a spell scroll.

Note that in BG2, both types of Stone to Flesh scroll exist; in BG1, only the protection scroll exists.
thx, maybe u can learn thru level up but not scribe it. I dont even know if BG 1 EE alllows for 6th lvl mage spells...

i hv Protection fron Petrification which should suffice.
