Q: Baldurs Gate 2 on MacBook Air, unable to cast spells!! no left button for that?! Also, how do you memorize spells and detect traps??

To memorize spells for Druids and Clerics click "Priest Scroll" and for Sorcerers, bards and Wizards click "Mage Book" on the left. For both cases, on the right side you will see your "known" spells and on the left side boxes for spells you want to memorize. When you left click one of the spells on the right side, it will add itself to the first empty box on the left side. But it will be pale for now. You need to "rest" to be able to actually memorize those spells. You dont have to do this every time but only when you want to change the spells that you want to use. For this, you may want to delete some of the spells on the left. Just left click them and you will see an option to remove them.

I cant help with your other problem since I dont own a Mac.
Thanks Engerek01,

Anybody have a mac that can help with other questions on memorizing spells and detecting traps??

Also, I cant seem to be able to use potions!!

It's been a while since I played so I may have forgotten some things but for detecting traps you need to highlight the find traps icon and your character will automatically look for traps.

For general control I use a cheap 2 button mouse to play games on my Macbook Pro. I bought a Logitech from Amazon and it cost me about 6 pounds (9 USD). You just plug it in and it's immediately recognised.

Works perfectly. Had it for years. I use it for work too as I find it much better than trying to use the trackpad. Once you've got a 2 button mouse all of your game control issues should disappear.
