I removed Aerie from my party to put Viconia and I think right as this happened someone came up talking about her personal quest. I headed down to do the Unseen Eye quest and Anomen got stoned. I go back to get her since she's the only one who can use a scroll but I cannot find her in the circus at all. I'm fairly sure that's where I sent her. Did the fact the personal quest bit came at roughly the same time cause an issue?

Did you check the place where you removed her from party?

Yup. Still no sign of her.

EDIT: Can you tell me where on the map she should show up? I do have a bit of trouble differentiating people at times in this game..

Then it may be connected to her quest. personal subquests are timed - if you accepted one and didn't complete in time, the NPC would get angry and leave forever.

If you accepted Aerie quest and then removed her from party, the timer was probably still running.

You may try spawning her by using console commands, but going back to earlier save would be the safest bet.

Sadly I had forgotten how unforgiving games used to be and was using a single save file like i normally do in current ones. if I can get a location to look at specifically on the map it would be helpful

Jan and Nalia can also use mage scrolls and there are also stone to flesh scrolls which can be used by any character with 9+ int.
