1st or 2nd game? I can check tonight when I change to my game drive. I only have the 1st installed.

I'll post a reply tomorrow morning after I login to that drive tonight. I play at my monitor's native res at 1440p I think.

Sorry about the delay and unfortunately I forgot to check it. I got so caught up in merging some Grim Dawm mods and making 2 work at the smae time that it slipped my mind. :(

I the plus side, I got all 5 mods merged and 2 working together same time! hehe

I'll for sure check tonight for sur!. But the developer in another thread said it should automatically set upon installing the game. It was for Mac OS I think, but should still apply to Windows OS.

https://www.gog.com/forum/atom_rpg_postapocalyptic_indie_game/how_do_i_select_a_different_resolution/post2

But if you don't want to wait, here are some things you can try:

1. Check main install folder for an ini, xml or cfg file what you can edit with notepad (notepad++ is better), which should contain the resolution.

2. Check in the hidden folder location for the ATOM game:

- Hidden folder can be found once you open Windows Explorer (any location is fine) and select View and check box for "Hidden items". This is for Windows 10 (11 maybe the same, not sure).
- For Windows 7, you have to check the box to see hidden folder/files under Folder Options. YouTube should have vids for that.

Here's the location for Windows 7: (once you unhide the folder, AppData will show in the list)

C:\Users\YourPCName\AppData\ and look through the 3 folders inside for the ATOM folder. There should be an ini or xml file (or possibly a cfg file), which has your resolution setting.

3. The other option is Registry entries using regedit command to access it. But I hesitate to talk people through that since I'm not expert to guide people and I know just enough for my own personal use.

But if you can wait til tomorrow, for sure it'll be the first thing I check tonight.

Thanks for the post. Weird thing ist, it doesn't look like 640 x 680 resolution but like a higher resolution.

That is wierd. Also, what OS are you on? Win 7/10/11? Or something else?

I'll upload some photos too of any locations ATOM uses to save any settings info.

Thanks for your efforts, but I gave up on that game now, the difficulty is impossible, even in easy, so I decided to stop playing it. Sad, it offers so much, but the difficulty ruins that game.

Well, just in case.

Look for the ATOM folder in one of these locations:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE

and you will see the default resolution and your current resolution, as both height and width.

I had the pic of the registry entry...and forgot to copy it over to a flashdrive...

On Windows 10, you can right click Start, select Run. Type in regedit and look for the locations listed above.

I couldn't find anything in AppData or game install location regarding resolution. And I don't have any games installed on this drive to take a screen shot of a relavent registry entry. This is my Windows 10 drive, the games are on my Windows 7 drive.

Hope this helps for now.

Even though it was the first thing I did when I turned on my Win 7 drive, I can't believe I forgot to transfer lol.

I dont't recall the game being too difficult, just some strategy and using cover etc. It's been a long time, so maybe I just forgot. And I did get distracted by another game, so there is that haha.

A really late update lol, but here's the attachment showing the location for res. This is from Windows 7 installation.

ATOM Registry entry has the resolution settings under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AtomTeam\Atom

See attached photo atomteam-res-01.png

The non-default ones should be the one the game selected for me based on my desktop resolution. 2560 x 1440

Not sure what the _h followed by numbers mean or how the install decides that. Hope this helps you later if decide to play again. Or someone else that runs into this issue. I know it's not the best help, but it's the best I can do for now. =P
