I've seen a lot of things mentioning that Arx fatalis has some "performance issues," as well as crashes... do you think these will make the game unplayable on an integrated graphics card? I really want to play this game, but I don't want to pay $6 for something that doesn't work.
Never mind. I just bought the game, and it runs fine.

Incredibly amazing, by the way. SO immersive.
Ok, never mind... it's started bluescreening on me every time I enter a certain room, and once when I casted a fireball.

I uninstalled it. I'm not going to try and deal with constant fatal crashes.

I'm kinda pissed.

That¨s unfortunate to hear. You did try it with the unofficial patch linked in the sticky topic? I solves some performance issues for some people. There's also the Arx Libertatis I mentioned in the second page of same topic but as I said there, it'll likely take quite a while to finish and there's no quarantee that they ever finish it (the maker of unofficial patch seem to have quit already. Hopefully someone else will adopt the project).

Yeah, I tried the patch. I don't think it's really the game's fault. My computer has had this problem with other games. I think it has to do with the integrated gfx card that really wasn't made for doing any gaming. As soon as I get enough money, I'm getting a better computer. So I'll be able to play the game then.

Until then, I'm substituting with Ultima Underground and Planescape Torment. So I guess things could be worse :3

I had no problems running this game on a laptop with integrated graphics.
I have a pretty old computer, I got it used in 2003, I think.. The best game it can play is Doom 3, which has quite a bit of slowdown but was playable (I had to turn off the shadows, as well). Oh, and i could get Fable to work with the graphics turned down to their lowest, and San Andreas (though it crashed quite a bit during cutscenes). In any case, Arx Fatalis worked fine, but if your computer is even older than mine I could see you running into problems.
Did you at least check the requirements on GOG.com before purchasing the game to make sure your integrated graphics chip model matches them?
