I am having a very difficult problem with the game. As soon as I enter Arx for the first time the game starts to freeze constantly. Which wasn't that frequent a problem earlier on. As I progress through the city it begins freezing even more constantly. To the point moving the camera begins the screen to flicker. Eventually if I keep doing this the game crashes with a window popping up saying my graphics card crashed and was restarted.

Another smaller bug occured randomly where the wrong texture displayed for the environment, along with the above symptoms occuring

EDIT: I also noticed a very severe problem occuring after the graphics card crashing. Randomly my screen would start displaying wierd pixle glitches that would only stop when I restarted my computer. Now I am afraid of further long term damage this game is causing to my computer

EDIT 2x: Now when I try and resume my savegame in Arx the game refuses to load

Okay I have an update, on a hunch I tried running the game in a window, and I suffered from absolutely no issues

However, the only problem I found was that the mouse cursor was always locked in the middle of the screen and was a distraction

GOG has just updated the installer with a new version of the game and several compatibility tweaks. Give that a go and see if it resolves your original problem.

No, no change with the new patch. My system mouse cursor is always locked in the middle of the screen during gameplay, unless I am in menus, upon which it is resting ontop of the "gauntlet" cursor. When I take a screenshot strangely, it doesnt appear locked in the middle of the screen

I tried running the game in fullscreen but experienced zero changes their either, it crashed automatically when I attempted to enter Arx and my screen started to experience pixel glitches again

Well, the fullscreen problems sound like a resolution or scaling issue. What resolution are you using in the game? If it's smaller than your display's native resolution, you may have a scaling issue. Check your graphics options for something like "flat panel scaling" or similar. If it's off, turn it on, and see if that affects the behavior in fullscreen. I recommend choosing the setting that preserves aspect ratio, as that will prevent games that are running in 4:3 resolutions from getting "stretched" on a widescreen display (it will have black bars on the sides instead).

As for the mouse cursor in windowed mode, I have no idea. Anyone else?

I am running Arx on my pc's native resolution of 1280x1024 on a regular flatscreen monitor.
