Love the rpg parts but: Way too linear. I don't completely mind linear but there is only one way to advance and if you can't get it you are screwed. I'd love to know what percentage of people can complete this without a walkthrough.

A key to a chest you have to open under a pillow in a room on the oppisite side of the map. Really. Sorry if I didn't pick up on the fact it was the quartermaster's room. That was the big arrow pointing me in the right direction? Then in the temple, the door has to be closed to turn off the security stuff? Thank god for walkthroughs is all I can say. I guess I'm just not on the designers wavelenght. I will finish this because I like the basic game and we are in the summer drought but some of this puzzle stuff is just brutal.

I agree that it can be frustrating without a walkthrough sometimes, kinda why I prefer the Gothic series. I figured the first two puzzles in the temple, but that one with the doors I completely didn't get.
