Alright, so I've gotten pretty darn far in the game by now, and my character is at 75% magickal, which is great, except that none of the regular arms n' armor dealers will talk to me anymore. I have been looking for a quality blacksmith because I really need some repairs (armor is down to 30/110) but can't find any who will deal with me. Am I missing something? None of my party has repair skills, so I guess I may just have to *gasp* buy some new armor. lol
There are a couple options:

Yes you can buy new armor (though definitely not the most economical solution, haha)

But you can also go to a "magic smith" (there is one in Tarant, in a block with two other magic shops) and some various other places.

You can also use the Tarant junk dealer by the docks. This is actually the best option as he is Expert level in repair, which almost no other NPCs are (which means less degradation of item hit points), and he doesn't care about your Magicka/Technology level.

haha, thanks!

Resident Arcanum expert apparently*. I feel like I am paying back a good deal of the questions I asked ten years ago on various Arcanum forums. :)

*Also Waltorious of course. I feel like we both camp the GOG forums hoping for people to ask Arcanum questions so we can answer them. haha

Yeah but I've actually only played 2 characters so you're far more knowledgeable than I am.

You'll get there. haha I started playing Arcanum when I was 11. That was ten years ago. Crazy stuff.

But you know stuff about technical aspects of the game and how to fix graphics glitches and that sort of thing (or at least I see you post in those types of thread). I generally avoid those because 1) I don't play Arcanum enough (or at all) any more to know if I get those problems and how to fix them and 2) I am not super good at bug fixing in general.

Point: Balance! And more knowledge is good. etc.
[Can you tell I am rambling and just don't want to do my work right now? haha]
