Obviously I followed advice previously given to me about how to fix a crash in Hardin's pass. Well that worked, Except after, and even after uninstalling the game completely and going over my computer with CCcleaner to make sure it was a completely clean install, with no mods, every game I save becomes corrupted between shutting the program down and next time I start it. While in that current game session I can reload the game at any time with no issues. But not once I've exited out of the program.

If anyone's got even the first idea what's going on and what if anything I can do to fix it, you would be helping me out a lot. Because if I can't get this fixed, my only option for my next playthrough is to do it all in one session, and that's simply not doable for me.

What exactly happens when you try to load the saved games? Are they simply missing?

Sometimes when running Windows 7 or Vista the savegames for a game can be moved to a new location. This usually happens when you've installed the game to Program Files and you're not running it as Admin. If you've installed to Program Files, I recommend reinstalling somewhere else as that folder has extra security protections and your saves may get moved because Windows won't let the game write any files in that location. Try something like C:\Games instead. You can also try running the game as Admin if you are not doing so already.

Also, are you using the Unofficial Patch?
I'm using Windows XP right now. Using the default game directory after having removed all traces of the previous installation from the computer, including old save games. I'm currently using no mods or additional patches whatsoever on it. As for what happens when I try and load saved games, I get a message saying it's corrupted and can't be loaded. This happens regardless of if the save is lessthen 10 minutes old, or hours old, but only if I close the game at any point.

Hmm. That's odd. This was not happening before the Hardin's Pass problem? What exactly did you do to fix the Hardin's Pass problem?
That I was able to fix just by making a new install of the game to a different dictory. However I had this exact problem on that install, and also after I uinstalled everything, cleared install traces with cccleaner, including deleting all old save games. So whatever's going on, it's happened under two consecutive installations, and reports itself as a corrupted save. I checked the file size of the download, didn't seem off, and like I said, game runs normally aside from saves being unusable.
Well, I'm not sure what could be causing this... anyone else have any ideas?
Yes does anyone have any ideas? It's been more then a month, and I'm still having this problem.
