We attempt to fortify against the humans in the west. Our central forts are nearly hopeless, but our easterly fortification is in a good position.

Well, I'm glad i made peace with the humans - a whole army of mine has been destroyed by halfling cavalry under Elf command, with a red dragon flying overhead that we shot down.

Hmmm.... how can the Elves command the loyalty of such a creature? Perhaps they cannot hold them for very long. Instead only fairies will be flying overhead in the near future.

Our leader has fallen in the chaos of battle! We must flee this land, or surrender to the Elves! Those Nymphs subverted our line of battle very effectively.

Is there a way to view your heroes stats before upgrading? For example, if I am wearing something that boosts my stats, I don't think that is reflected on the upgrade screen? Or is it??

Trying to unleash indie forces worked really well against Dwarves, but terribly against humans (they joined forces instead of attacking!)

I think the upgrade menu doesn't show enchantment and item boosts

Haha, nice job. I didn't see anybody threatening anywhere near me! I was going to retreat to the closest city and zap you with my lightning tower if you got close.

You can just click 'cancel' to ignore the levelup to go look at whatever you like including your hero. That's because you can click on the hero levelup message in the events box to re-open the levelup dialogue.

It wouldn't let me. I clicked on the message and it said I could only upgrade once (or something to that effect), even though I had not changed any attributes.

That's how I remember it working also, or not working rather.

That message is what I get when I press 'Done'. I think you won't get it if you press 'cancel'.
