I just installed Aarklash today, and when I started it, I got a briefly displayed screen with the game name and copyright info, then it went to a white screen with a mouse pointer and background music. I can't get it to do anything else. I am running XP Pro, and already tried a few suggestions on GOG's generic help page, but nothing yet. Any ideas?

Infos about the graphic Card would be important too but first you can check

-if you run the game as admin

-try out the compatibility Mode for WinXP SP 3

-try to disabling VSync and multi-sampling

-check your Anit-Virus/Anti-Spy if it blocks the game

-cheack your taskmanager if Aarklash is runned as two process at once

Aside from this there where some "special" Problems with some Cards as far as i know
and you can always try to contanct the technical Forum

http://forums.aarklash-legacy.com/viewforum.php?f=24

or better their support directly because the forum seems nearly unused.
Might be because?:

Requirements : WIndows XP + DirectX 9.0c + Shader Model 4.0 = That makes no sense at all. Shader model 4.0 is a DirextX 10.0 thing. And DX10 requires at least Vista.

Don't know who's the bloody imbecile, who keeps doing these BS requirements. Steam also has these, with impossible things like "Windows XP + at least of 4 Gb of RAM"....
