The Source Code for Jazz Jackrabbit 2 might be lost, and the Source Code for Prince of Persia was nearly lost.
more current example of lost source code: Divine Divinity http://www.gog.com/forum/divine_divinity_series/what_are_the_problems_with_gogs_divine_divinity/post23
There is, it's horrible: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/6271/where_games_go_to_sleep_the_game_.php E.g. Taito announced 1996 that they lost the Bubble Bobble Source code, Atari throw away the source code of Centipede to trash...etc :( Therefore should GOG try to obtain the source code where possible: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/obtain_source_code_for_games_where_possible
Is there really lost source code or is it just not public?
