Sort reviews by date added
Thanks GOG developers for adding lot of order by / filter criteria for the reviews in the 10th anniversary website version :D
I think this topic can be marked as closed now
may be a motivated chrome extension developper can do it and try to add buttons in product page and retrieve directly these kind of data : www.gog.com/reviews/product/1584823040.json?page=48
Instead of waiting gog implementation (initial request 3 years ago), tips : order by date_field DESC to reverse the order for sql query or array.reverse() in js ^^
very important missing feature (divinity original sin 2 => 48 pages of reviews, good luck to go on the latest with the newest comments since no go to last / first page buttons, only previous / next), more over hard to hack to go on last page of review (not a simple based url to go on a specific pages of review for example), but seems the developers were busy to implement more useful feature : www.pcgamer.com/gog-easter-egg-lets-you-play-pong-and-snake-using-the-konami-code/
How is this not added yet? It is common practice. I want to see newer reviews not reviews that were made on release when games had bugs or other issues.
These seems like such a simple and needed request. +1
Please add sorting options. I'm tired of reading only positive reviews that overlook all problems.
hey it is still not there. Are there so incopetent people? It is very frustrating to look for newer reviews for older games.
Still not added? GOG, wtf are you doing?
Still relevant... finding the review you are looking for (including own reviews) is a major PITA. I hear it was removed - what for?
This is a very obvious improvement - mandatory even. Voted.
Hello xD I though that I cant find this feature.. but it is not implemented? How the hell not? I need to know if old comments from 2014 are still valid. The default sort sucks because it is shwoing me comments 3 year old and I do care about current version of the game.
This really needs to be implemented. As it is the review system is pretty much useless. It's impossible to find out if a game's issues have been fixed or how the game has evolved over time. It's not a big deal for the old games because ultimately their state is pretty much set in stone, but for the more recent titles this is a huge omission and one that is very detrimental to the site. I find myself going to the Steam reviews when I need information because the GOG reviews are unusable without sorting options.
Why the F... not? It IS STILL OLD games mostly?
If new OS' - even new Hardware and all you have is a 4 year old comment.... :-(
I would also like too see reviews sorted by the number of stars.
Many times the top reviews are over 5 years old, you might as well call the review section Good Old Reviews. Compatibility with modern systems, new mods and patches would have been valuable info to find from recent reviews. But those reviews are hidden under a mountain of old ones. Why not let us sort?
This seems like such a simple thing to implement. I am baffled it has not been done already.

Date added, date modified (if any), rating, and average helpfulness rating. Please.
I also use Steam for reviews. If the game isn't on Steam—or doesn't have reviews on Steam—for whatever reason, usually I'll just ignore the game. Undoubtedly, I'm missing some good games for this reason, but if GOG's refund policy remains limited to "technical" issues only, and requires support requests to obtain the refund...
I can only agree with this. What's more: the first review is always there and if it's a wrong or biased one, this has huge influence in the perception of the game, that's why I have added 'Show the latest reviews first' as a wishlist. But a filtering option is of course better as then you can see the 'history' of the opinions for a game.
Sorting reviews by a few parameters is a basic but important feature, allowing any potential customer to find the information they are looking for in reviews. Because GOG mind-bogglingly doesn't offer this feature I mostly turn to Steam for text reviews by users. Is it GOG's intention that customers do this or have to turn to scripts for this basic feature? Why offer a review feature at all then, if you drastically limit its usability?
This feature is critical for games that were buggy or shrouded in controversy on release, but then the dust settled and bugs were fixed and actually useful reviews started coming in.
The more information we have about a buying decision the less likely we are to buy on emotion, nostalgia or impulse. Sorting and filtering reviews are key on any shopping website to provide this information.
However a pillar of GOG's business model is that they need us customers buying on nostalgia, emotion or impulse. Therefore these features will never be reinstated on GOG.
This demonstrates clearly the sort of company GOG now is. Please don't kid yourselves that GOG is any "better" than Steam, iTunes etc. They are not doing this to "preseve the history of gaming" or any other BS. They do it to make money.
BTW, I voted for this and it greatly irritates me too.
In case you haven't noticed it, adaliabooks has recently written a script (works on Firefox and Chrome) that restores this and much more. You can read about it and download it here.
...AHAHA Even STEAM still has it...
..firstmovers = that's Poland *
*Evil thing to do - 'cause I know you history (1/8 Pole from Katyn here)
THIS SUCKS ... BUTT WHY? Galaxy?
It's absolutely annoying not to have an assorting option. This should be standard.
This really needs to be implemented. Most of the front-page reviews for GOG's back catalogue are YEARS old! For many games this means that any problems that have been fixed aren't made aware to prospective buyers. How is that helpful or a "very good thing" as Gasivodo proclaims. Sortable reviews and review comments are very much needed. And in 2015 should be standard. Come on GOG, pull your socks up. :)
Yes, reviews are now a mockery on GOG without this feature!
How on earth is a NEW reveiew, EVER going to get voted up to be 'helpful' otherwise?!
Why change a very good thing?
The new site design really reduced functionality. Seriously, GOG why are so many features gone now? Finding out if bugs are fixed is much harder now.
