If there is a game you wish to have on GOG.com and it’s not yet on the wishlist, please add your wish
Fully agreed. There are a few games from Germany that I would buy at once (Chains of Satinav, The Whispered World) if the German original versions were available.
GoG add spanish (and other languages) to larry 6, so I add this game to my wish list and I will buy (again) when I can. (Again because I have this game in physical format). Thank you.
PLEASE consider adding the German and French versions of the first two "Thief"-games. The German "Thief: The Dark Project" has some of the best voice acting ever heard in a game.
Interstate 76' had other languages too, at least the french one, which was of very good quality. Would be a great addition..
I subscribe this. And I don't mean only texts, I mean voiceacting. I don't know how you managed to do it with The Witcher 1 game which you apparently actualized from Spanish text only to Spanish voiceacting too version, I suppose it has to do with it being your game. The thing is this is a place for nostalgia, and when younger we played games like Grim Fandango (which you so have to put here) or VTM:R with voices in Spanish. We don't care how they compare to the originals, we want to hear both, but have at least the opportunity to relive it for good. Even if you have to put separate installers.
@JudasIscariot : good news about Leisure Suit Larry: Love For Sail!, even though I do not own this game for now ! It would be awesome if you could get the rights for the Baldur's Gate series in French, German and other languages.
I voted for this as well, a french can only play die by the sword in french, because that's the best thing of the game. And there are other examples..
Playing games in languages you're currently learning is an awesome and enjoyable way to practice it. I'd love to have more games in french and german as these are the languages i'm learning.
One more french guy. I'm looking for old games for my child but games only in english is a tricky present. So please add french language.
I'd like to play rpgs like fallout or baldur's gates in french
Great JI, now it should also be easy for a game like Gobliins, it's just change in a config file. The same for Beneath a steel sky. But, what about Gabriel Knight: sins of the fathers? Or all the Legacy of Kain series? Or The Runnaway two first games (games developed by an Spanish company)?
Leisure Suit Larry: Love For Sail! is now available in French, German, and Spanish :D.
More games in Spanish, please! Like Rollercoaster Tycoon, or the Total Annihilation!
I wish I could gift some games to my family but they don’t understand a word of English.
I don't know of any games that GOG currently features that has been translated to my native language of Norwegian, and I don't think I'd play them if they were. But I would absolutely love to see Funcom's "The Longest Journey" available with the original Norwegian voice acting. It's a matter of nostalgia I guess.
Good [Insert your native language which one you use on your retrogames firt time] Old Games
I'm not English but playing games only with English language. I wouldn't like to download more languages game which I play. But separately download would be good.
Yeah, another French guy ! ^^ I agree : the French versions (even if it's just the text and the subtitles) are a real plus-value for my friends or even I. I just play a few games all in English.
I would love to occasionally buy old games for people I know back home. I know for a fact there are official versions of many GOG games in my native language (French), sometimes available for download elsewhere, yet GOG consistently provides only the English versions in too many cases. Help me build up the virtual game shelf of my non-English speaking friends and family! GOG is missing out on several large markets and one of the biggest advantages in global digital distribution. Reaching international customers easily. Help make the GOG versions of these good old games the definitive version!
I think that the GOG people will always provide the language versions that originally came with a game. So, if a game was only available in english, it will only be english at GOG too. Adding languages could be very difficult in terms of man power, the game would propably become more expensive... A community could be the solution! But then they'd have to create a tool for the community to add extra languages. Anyway, in the long run this could be an option!
Yep. Russian, please)
Yes, *tear falls from the yey*, more languages please. I'm for example searching for the swedish version of Pharaoh plus the expansion The Queen of The Nile. I have the swedish version with the origianl box, but the expansion has some compatibility issues with newer OS's like W7, so I can only play Pharaoh without the expansion.
>sid6581 "There is this certain nostalgic value that's missing when buying them with english language" I could not agree more! I would love to experience some of the games that I bought on GOG exactly as I did when I was a kid (i.e Myst and Rayman dubbed in french :D). I was kind of disappointed when I lauched them and realised that I would not get to hear the voices and texts that I remembered.
Let me buy gifts for my family who don’t read English… Please, this – and my wife – are the two reasons I can’t spend lots of money on gog.
I'm a big fan of adventure games ("point & click") and I will probably purchase some of these games when they will be available in French.
more games on russian, please.
I don't even know how many games I'd have already bought on GOG if they had german language. There is this certain nostalgic value that's missing when buying them with english language only although my english is pretty good these days. So if you want my money GOG you will have to come up with a solution for this.
It'll be awesome if you'd add more languages. Polish for example. There are lots of unofficial patches, not only polish, but also german, spanish etc. If not the official, GOG translation, then maybe just a link to a valid source of that patch with additional info, that "You download it at your own risk blahblahblah" or something like that.
Great ! Today is "Dungeons & Dragons Deal" but none are provided with French translation... Too bad ! :(
I agree. More languages please.
Add more languages please.
Yes!! More languages for games, not only english. Add SPANISH or die!
Add spanish!
Indeed this is a very valid wish. I personally am fine with English, but e.g. I love to watch Japanese movies in their native language (with subtitles) and when it comes to games so genres I'd love to have in German. It is my native tongue and some jokes on adventures just work better and you understand them instantly. So I was surprised to have German productions without any German audio or text (Chains of Satinav, Realms of Arkania, Book of unwritten tales and so on). English also does the job but my native German would have been better in some cases (esp. the jokes). So my vote also goes for full language support, regardless if it is Russian, Czech, Polish, Italian, Spanish, French or whatever.
More games in french would be great.. especially for RPG !
French language, please. :)
I like the idea of at least providing a link to fan made transitions where official ones do not exist. Since I'm a native English speaker, having access to games in my native tongue is not an issue. I do like to play games in French when possible though, since it helps me maintain some level of linguistic reading and listening comprehension.
"To the moon" Steam version: 6 languages. "To the moon" Gog version: English. What version do you think I am going to buy?
If it's not possible to add official translations then add fan made ones ;) But probably it's should be easy to just add texts which are already there(few years ago)
Is their extra license issues with doing more multi-language versions? If not it should be a simple thing to pack the extra language versions?
come on, can you?
yei i wanna spanish lang, for example: The game XIII have spanish and som others languages but here are only english whe all wanna more langs! thanks gog.
@ Ovocean +1
The major French abandonware site (abandonware-france.org) has removed the games that GOG has released, but GOG doesn't release the FR version so there's no way to find the games in my native language anymore... Please add translated versions!
I would like to buy the Medal of Honor Allied Assault Warchest in italian, and i could to buy other games if they too will be avaiable in my language.
Add spanish!
Russian, russian, russian!!!
Yes, more games in french please !!
GOG would be the perfect store for children if the games were provided in their language.
