Give users an option to bundle/unbundle games
Please, if you agree with the concept, let other people know about this request by linking it to your friends and in topics that could be somehow related (but without spamming and going off-topic, obviously).
Agreed. It would be very useful if this were possible to implement as an option.
A user on a forum suggested an option to create your own folders on the library, which seems very interesting. Maybe that would be a good additional feature, as well.
@gamefood: I've seen several complaints about the unbundling thing, and i personally think that it actually makes the library a little bit messy for people with 300+ games like me. I'm also not particularly fond of the new covers, since most of them look shallow to me.
That said, as i wrote in the announcement thread, it's not that big of a deal, actually, and i think overreacting about it would be nonsensical. I can also see some positive things about the possibility of unbundling games, as in my understanding it makes things easier to handle when porting the library to Galaxy for them and for the users it may allow separate downloads when needed for people that have slower internet connections or just want to download only some of the games in a collection, but i don't like it being mandatory.
Being able to bundle/unbundle by using an option seems like an elegant solution to me that would please anyone, people that want game bundled, people that like them being unbundled and especially those, like me, who would benefit from both arrangements depending from the situation.
I understand that it would mean extra work on GOG's behalf since to implement such a feature they would need to code it and update the libraries again, but i also think that it would make every user happy and might even be a selling point for their service making it even more appealing and user-friendly compared to other digital stores.
So, adding such a feature would be a win-win scenario, i think.
Although I was sceptic at first, the unbundling isn't that bad...
But I am for the OPTION, everyone can then decide for theirself, so voted.
I would welcome it, if they reversed the unbundling at least on the shelf, i.e. you have one box but more links like is the case for Dark Forces II. I have the LSL pack and some of the games have the same cover arts - that does not look that good.
Voted. Please vote also for an option to be added to the library for a bundled installer for game collections/packs next to the existing separate game installers: www.gog.com/wishlist/site/implement_option_for_bundled_downloads_in_the_library_for_game_collectionspacks
For larger franchises and (former) bundles, I'd say this would be a nice option - though I do quite like being able to see the entire Ultima and M&M box-arts at once like I had bought them physically, I can see it getting messy quick for larger libraries!
I like the sound of that. +vote
I agree!
