Double your Insomnia pain/pleasure! Let's do it twice a year!

Is one time a year of bleary-eyed shopping;/chatting frenzy just not enough? Do you suffer from lack of sleep deprivation? Is your nighttime routine downright boring in its regularity? Has your backlog managed to dwindle and waste away to nothing, forcing you to just plain NEED more games in your life on a more frequent basis?
If so, feel free to vote for doing our usual bonanza of "hurts so good" fun, frivolity and furiously frantic festival of flatout flying game goodness not just once, but TWICE a year!

Twice a year is way better, but MARKET IT, MARKET IT, MARKET IT.
A week before, in addition to your mailing list to your members, get a press release out to everyone: Maximum PC, AnandTech, PC Magazine, Tom's Hardware, Forbes, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, every news paper in the world, etc. Something like: "Due to huge commercial success in the sale of games and movies, GOG is proud to announce that the Insomnia Sales Event is going to be held twice a year, etc." Also, don't forget the smaller gaming sites that don't get many press releases. They might be inclined to play it up big.
For those people who don't want to see GOG grow, think about Costco and Amazon. It's possible to have excellent customer service no matter how big you are.
Oh, one more thing. Set a timer on how long a game can stay up; maybe an hour. Then put it back up in 6 to 8 hours with the count starting where it left off. If it doesn't sell all the copies at that time in an hour, then take it down and try again in 6 to 8 hours. Keep doing that until it's sold out.

Gnostic Now that I calm down and think about it, it may not be feasible to do it twice a year.
GOG only have 743 games as of this post. doing twice a year means that more than 1/4 of their catalog is drawn upon.
At the third or forth year we may see that almost all the game is possessed by Keane killing the fun.
Insomnia promo can draw people in because there are a number of games they want to add into their library, if most of the game is already in their library, then little people will join the promo. Keane too much.
Unless...... Unless of course GOG can add 200 games to their catalog each year, but doing that may dilute the quality of the catalog hurting GOG and gamers in the long run.

That said I will bug the developers of the kick starter projects I support to get their games oh GOG.

don2712 Personally, I think twice a year is ideal more than that and the excitement and fun would be lost, less than twice a year is perhaps too long for gamers to wait plus, it would release a total of 200 affordable games a year for people like me, gamers on very restricted budgets and want to own rather than just rent their games.
