I've seen some sites that let users display the current book they are ready or current music they are enjoying as part of their forum profile. It could be neat to have a similar function here, where a user can select which GOG they are currently playing and a small icon of the box art appears below their profile info when they post.

This can act as a dialogue starter, with folks asking each other about their current game, as well as advertising titles for GOG as to what is hot.

Nice idea! Although it should be possible to include games that are not on GOG too. And it should be possible to add multiple games. In that case mine would be showing:
Divinity 2 (GOG), Freelancer, Broken Sword 2 classic (GOG)
