david3430 PEOPLE!! you need to know that UT 2004 has all and i mean ALL of the content of the 2003. There is no reason to paly 2003 if you have 2004. Altho i would like to play 2003 just for the shit and gigles.
AtomicLugia I mean, sure, this game got obsolete with the release of UT2004 but still, UT2003 is the first Unreal Tournament with the Unreal Engine 2 and still has some unique stuff going on.
kirloi +1 , this was the "#$% for me back in the day. Discussion about whats better is pointless. We all have our favs... from the UT series... none come close to UT 2003 and nobody can tell me otherwise. UT 2003 was so much fun for me id gladly pay full price to have it.

TurbaTurtle At one time I managed to play both games - 2003 and 2004. Despite the majority of opinions that the 2004 version is the same as 2003 - I have my own opinion. The 2003 version is played a little differently, not only because of the different menu or the list of levels in the tournament. Physics works differently. Also, the 2003 version was more stable, 2004 even with half-day patches sometimes hangs stupidly for no apparent reason. And I solved this problem by disabling the display of weapon models on the screen - but the impression is spoiled. I need a classic 2003 tournament!

Slayghn To be honest, I threw away my copy of 2k3 when I got 2k4 back in the day. 2k4 is more or less an improved version of 2k3. And I don't get the "more acrade like" point. I what sense was it more arcade-like than 2k4?
BOYD1981 I think everyone saying "Why play this when you can play UT2004" is missing the point; Why play Quake when you can play Quake 2? Why play Doom when you can play Doom? Why play any old game at all when you can play newer ones? Because they offer different gameplay experiences and we all have our preferences. I'd like to see UT2003 because I missed out on it first time round and would like to hand over some money to own a copy.
gtx666 To the people that don't understand the CORE difference between 2k3 and 2k4. It is simple as 2k3 was more "arcade" like and imho because of that far more fun. Its a crime its been buried because of its far less superior sequel 2k4.

IwubCheeze Not much point in this game. The only things I saw that UT2003 that UK2004 doesn't have is a different title screen and the announcer not saying anyones names at the character screens except for "Mr Crow". Also, wasn't this game's final mission that rage inducing 1v1 DM vs Malcolm where if you lost your momentum, you essentially lost the game?

F4LL0UT Personally I don't see any point in playing this ever again. UT2K4 has pretty much all the content from this one (you can even switch back to the original weapon designs and watch the 2K3 intro) and improved a whole damn lot of stuff. I bet the few things that are missing (and which I definitely don't need) can be added to UT2K4 via mods and mutators.
Radarkasten UT2k3 has some features UT2k4 lack (for instance spoker character names) or is just slightly different (HUD, movement). It shouldn`t miss in a UT collection
Skunk I don't really have any desire to ever bother with UT2K3 again, nor do the majority of people. Still, it is a bit of a commodity, seeing as there's so little demand for it, no digital distributor bothers to offer it. All I know is, if GOG ever decides to have UT2K3, it should REALLY be bundled in with UT2K4 as an extra. Not much point to selling it stand-alone, after all.
HenL Well there are quite a few differences, for instance the movement is much less restrained. Also Epic has been kind of burying it, it's not available elsewhere and it'd be nice to have for posterity.
fisk0 I'm uncertain on this, on the one hand - why would anybody want this as 2k4 is on GOG already, and is almost the same game but with improvements - on the other hand, I'd really just like to have it.
