It's easy to get a copyright from a defunct game, plus it will be free of charge in gog.
bartover Don't think it's a waste at all - for some people GOG is a one stop shop for good classics. They don't research mobygames or other sources searching for specific stuff, mostly they simply don't have the time or the opposite - the see GOG as a good start for a search. Those customers value having it all in one place, neatly packaged, with all bonus content there is available at hand, all neatly packaged and with GOG-class QA and attitude and support. All this is strong added value even if a game is free. At this same time adding content brings GOG additional exposure and people who previously searched for particular title can check other titles out. Especially if the original devs point people here. They no longer provide support and may drop the website at some point altogether. It's a win for everyone involved.
WarlockLord I really don't know why people feel the need to add freely-available stuff as requests. Isn't that just wasting GOG staff's time?
