Oh yes please. Such nostalgia, I really want the experience the Sims 1 again, it's still my favorite. I can't believe you can't get this anywhere anymore, not on steam, origins or GoG...

EA has just released the entirety of The Sims 2, but only on Origin. Also, they are hyping The Sims 4 so much, and price The Sims 3 so much, but give no love to the original The Sims.

I love the original The SIms. Wright's hand in it is very clear. It had an isometric perspective, like how classic games like Fallout 1-2 and Baldurs Gate had. And, goddammit, its a classic 'good old game'. I don't want EA to release it as a drm-only free release on Origin. I'd rather pay for a drm-free version on gog.com, so that i can have the memories I once had, once again.

The Sims were truly magical. Maxis games of the time (SimCity 3000, The Sims) felt so right. A bit strange, wacky and awkward, even out of touch perhaps, but all that just created this incredible charm. Sims 2 had so much polish, so many things in it, and tried SO hard to be hip, that it just came off... boring, and a bit of a chore. But the first one was a great game for it's time, and not, apart from being a part of gaming history, is also a funny look back at our society 15 years ago (looking for jobs in the newspaper... ha). Also, all existing copies of the original Sims have compatibility issues with modern OSs - the mac versions don't work on OSX and the pc versions run poorly on anything past XP (which is, sadly, no more).
Dear beloved GOG,
Please bring the Sims to your store. We would buy it in a heartbeat.

My Original Sims copy doesn't work anymore on Windows 8.1. I miss playing my good old game already.

If this happens, I'm sold.

Having this available would be a lot better than attempting to track down a disc copy that might not have the key code... Or going to amazon where someone's trying to sell this for $125 bucks.

The Sims, and The Sims 2 would be amazing. I got all The Sims expansions back then but I dropped getting Sims 2 games and anything EA touched since then because... of the DRM that started appearing. Recently been playing 2 with the expansions I already got but I would love all of them. I don't think either game is available anymore outside of old boxes randomly left in stores. If I could buy them in here in easily installable collection would buy immediately. I love 2 and will never touch 3 and 4.

One of the best and cutest games of its time. Never played the 2, and only a little of 3. Yeah, EA is milking the series like crazy, with too many and expensive DLCs, but except from that unfortunate point, I think they're good games. I'd love to play the 1st one again, the 2d isometric view was pretty, a charm we rarely see nowadays.

I'll be throwing my money at the screen the day this releases. With the recent release of SimCity 4 here, I have a little hope that this is possible too.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person who would want to own/play this game! I loved Sims 1 more than 2 or 3 and now its nearly impossible to find. A downloadable version would be beyond awesome!

I spent many hours on the original The Sims and had just about all of the expansions. It was easy to customize and add fanmade skins and items too. I would love to play it again!

I grew up playing 1,2, and 3, with 1 and 2 holding a special (re:addict) part of my heart. I would gladly pay for a Sims 1 Complete Collection, and if at all possible, a Sims 2 one as well.

The original Sims were the coolest... I mean they looked more like real human beings than those from 2nd and 3rd installment.
Maybe it is just nostalgy, but if the sims were on gog.com I would certainly buy it.

I would love for this to happen, especially the Sims 2. I own the game and most of the expansions on disk, with the last couple of expansions on Origin. Having them all here instead would be amazing. I'd probably play the first one for nostalgia's sake, also.

The Sims 1 and 2 are incredibly rare to find in stores, especially now that it is 2014 and those games are considered "old". You can still find used and new copies online but that's limited, so bringing the series to GOG would be a nice idea.

Sims 1 and 2 were the best Sims ever, before 3 came along with an insanely high level of microtransactions, but because of how much Sims 3 makes for EA, they are not going to allow Sims 1 or 2 to be sold anymore. We saw this with all Sims 2 retailers being forced to stop selling the game shortly after Sims 3 was released, and despite the older games being "better" in many people's opinion, they are not going to allow the sale of Sims 1 or 2 to hurt the revenue of 3. Sorry, I just don't see this happening (although if it did I would be the first to purchase it).

Even though I still have the entire thing in a storage box back home, I'd gladly buy the damn thing all over again if it came with all the benefits we're spoiled with here at GOG.com. Yes, The Sims 2 and 3 are technically superior, but the first is an undeniable classic that is no longer available to consumers. Would really love to see it here.

I want this game too. Maybe it's not up to date like the newer Sims, but the original always have this nostalgic feel to the series. And I had every Sims Original including all expansions. Ever since Sims 2, and 3, I haven't brought them, tired of spending add-on after another. It adds up and it also too confusing nowadays if you weren't up to date. :) Sims Complete is a MUST for GOG!
