I would certainly buy a complete pack of The Sims 2 and all of its expansions, mainly as they're not available anymore.

HELL YEAH!!! I would been really happy if EA could get Sims 2 + all of the expansion & stuff packs on GOG without DRM. I would be happy to spend over $20 on that.

My biggest worries about DRM and Securom would be null if the entire Sims 2 series were to be released on here. Hopefully also including the Stories games? For the more sensitive laptops?

I would buy Sims 2 simply to never deal with the CD keys and disk in drive requirements ever again.

If you ever release this, PLEASE include all the expansions and item sets in one collection. That would honestly make this game worthwhile @ a $15+ price point.

EA would make mega bucks by putting the Sims 2 on here. not everyone enjoyed the sims 3 and this could also help fund the making of the sims 4.

That stinks, I never knew TS2 was off Origin. I wonder how long I'll have access to the TS2 games I already bought on Origin.

The games are no longer available from Origin. This would be a good time to ask EA about the rights to the complete version of the game. Add in that they are starting to think DRM is a failed strategy, and GOG might be able to convince EA to allow it. Plus, I'd like to get them from here so I can be worry free about DRM ruining the game this time around.

The game is not compatible with Win8. EA will NEVER patch it! Get it on GOG!

I own two copies of the base of The Sims 2, I bought a 2nd copy because of the DRM preventing me from playing the 1st copy but soon enough the 2nd copy was also unplayable.

I will not buy an EA game anywhere but GOG. Because it is just a waste of money for me otherwise.

I really do hope this game does go up for sale on GOG. I own a boxed copy of the game, as well as 7 of the 8 expansions (I chose Apartment Life over Freetime). Seeing as how it is the #1 best selling PC game of all time even today, I don't see a reason as to why it shouldn't be here. I know EA is beginning to phase out the game (TheSims2.com is gone) and are selling the games as somewhat large packs (base game, an EP, and two stuff packs) for about 20 bucks. With that, I don't think it would be a stretch to see this game on GOG (especially if it's one of the deluxe editions or better).

Definitely want to get a DRMless version of the game. EA has good franchises, but they ruin them with DRM. If Sims 2 complete becomes an option, I'm in. However, I kind of want each part to be a separate installer, for getting the game easier.

The way EA handles the series is so offensive IMO that I think that If there ever was a company that deserved piracy - it's EA. Pirate the hell out of Sims games I say! Just my personal opinion. But seeing as right now Sims 3 with all addons, expansions and items would cost literally thousands of dollars to get! With expansions that don't introduce anything new that wasn't introduced in Sims2 for example.

I would buy The Sims 2 in a heartbeat if GOG could bring it in. I own all the expansions and stuff packs already, but I've had nothing but problems since switching to Windows 7.

This would be a fantastic opportunity both for GOG to have another good title on their shelves as well as for EA to make pots of cash. I have a bizarre foreign version of TS2 and a pile of EPs, and I would probably get the rest from here given the chance!

If you get the complete collection up here (TS2 + 8 EPs + 9 SPs + Store content + all the bonus content over the years), I'm willing to pay $60+ for it. Seriously. Maybe even $100.

This is one game that would be worth it for the DRM free expansions, but GOG would almost have to sell the expansions separately, or bundled (University + Nightlife, Seasons + Pets, etc.) in order to make it work pricewise methinks.

I would love it. I dont have the whole collection of sims 2 but it happens that my windows 7 runs with a few problems and is not fully compatible. Sometimes if i save the game i get a error and the game closes. After i restart the game the place my house/familly was is now a big bleu stop wich i cant use anymore. like a black hole just a differnd coller.

Even though I own the sims 2, it would be a nice way for people to get this game cheap.
