The Elder Scrolls Anthology completed
Both 'Arena' and 'Daggerfall' have both been generously made available as freeware by Bethesda themselves: elderscrolls.bethesda.net/arena/ elderscrolls.bethesda.net/daggerfall/
Rejoice. Enjoy. Send them cake! ;)
At this point this effectively a wish for ES4: Oblivion (GOTY edition, including all major and minor DLC) and Skyrim. Morrowind (including all major dlc - not sure about the minor freebies available from Beth's website), Redguard and Battlespire are available, and Arena and Daggerfall are free for anyone who buys any Bethesda-owned title on GOG. All of these titles other than Morrowind (+ Bloodmoon/Tribunal) are/were available for free from Bethesda's website in their original non-modern-system-friendly versions.
As for Skyrim, it mainly depends on Bethesda's willingness to release "new" games through GOG. Steam Workshop won't be an issue (just about everything on Steam Workshop is also available on Nexus, and the Skyrim loader works just fine with .esm/.esp file manually placed in the game directory).
I'd buy this game been looking for it all over :)
Skyrim doesn't need Steam Workshop to run, it being integrated doesn't mean much past the launcher stage. But I doubt Bethesda will go for a DRM-free model...
Guys, the first and second game are free. Morrowind and Oblivion could be possible. But Skyrim? No chance. The game has steam workshop in its guts. So having the Anthology on GOG seems quite unlikely to me.
A french version pls !
I would so buy in a instant if you got Daggerfall!
For someone who never had the chance to fully partake in the first game and wants to return to the glory of the others, please make this a reality!
I've only ever played Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. But I would love to have to full series on GOG. A definite buy from me if it comes to GOG.
Redguard, please! Arena and Daggerfall would be sweet too.
Daggerfall is the best RPG of all times, but it really, really needs a controls revamp.
@blakjaknDrk: And you don't have to; Google "DaggerfallSetup" and you should find a set-up program from a French Elder Scrolls wiki (with a few English pages) that gives you everything to play Daggerfall and more.
I would pay for daggerfall and arena just so that i didn't have to fiddle around in dos-box everytime i want to play them. GOG spoils us with preloaders, and I appreciate it!

FYI> REDGUARD was first written for a NEW video card that never found a market. I bought the card just to play the game but could not get them to work together. Think they made some changes so it can run on a basic windows OS, but will not run on my 64-bit W-7 Pro as the idiots at MS did not put in compatable codex. SOME 32 bit codex runs, but many will not.
These are available. They may not RUN, but they are out there. Awesome series Hundreds of hours of quests, combat and LOOT. Oblivion is probably the best, but original Morrowind was WEEKS of adventures. Bloodmoon was too dark for me, but picks up from disk one after you make certain levels and finish some quests. Then Tribunal picks up. GET the GOTY edition, runs on Win-XP and 7-Pro with right set up.
If you guys here on GOG managed to get all Elder Scrolls games here and working on Mac, I'd buy all of them without even thinking at the price!
Daggerfall is by far one of my favorite games! While the newer iterations are nice, the older ones are the ones I still remember most fondly.
GOG, please let's get these!
Would totally buy this off from GOG. Not from Bethesda. Not from retailers, with DRM.-
I'd be thrilled to have Skyrim without steam. We all know it worked perfectly well on it's own before that damned patch.
If you guys adding The Elder Scrolls games to your collection, I'd be a happy little girl indeed. Here's to hoping. :)
Steam has most of the Elder Scroll series games such as morrowind, oblivion, and skyrim.
I would pay good money for no-DRM TES games. The included swag is nice, but paying 60 bucks for a download key for a bunch of games I bought the first time around isn't very compelling.
Vote to get Bethesda/Zenimax games onto GOG here. www.gog.com/wishlist/site/strike_a_deal_w_zenimax_media_inc
You should correct the wish description, tordhs. Every. Elder. Scrolls. Games. (punctuated for emphasis)
Can this and ALL other Bethesda/Zenimax wishlist requests please be removed.
One side note: adding Daggerfall or Arena would be customer service hell for GOG. They have sooooo many bugs and holes in them that have never been fixed to this day.
I would rather have Morrowind + the expansions sold separately. It's a classic and belongs on a site like this. I would also rather see Redguard and Battlespire added than Skyrim, because their status as fairly obscure old games suits the site more. As for Arena and Daggerfall, I don't understand the fine details of licensing and digital distribution, but if they're already in the public domain as freeware, surely it's in everyones interest to add them to this site as free games? GOG get two assets that will draw in more customers. Bethesda lose nothing and maybe even get a few new customers who would otherwise dismiss the newer games. And gamers (many of whom aren't even aware that Arena and Daggerfall are free at the moment) get more stable versions of two classic RPGs for nothing. The games certainly belong in GOGs catalogue if the sites long term goal is to have as many classic old games as possible.
It would be great, but it would probably also be a cold day in hell by the time Bethesda releases Skyrim, or even the older TES games on GOG. As far as I know Fallout is being pulled from GOG because they own it and the rights to sell it will be theirs exclusively from 2014, considering games are being removed from GOG because of Bethesda the chances of games being added by them are hardly stellar.
They are also CD versions as opposed to floppy versions on Bethesda page.

You don't have to deal with DOSbox.
Arena - theelderscrolls.wiwiland.net/?title=Arena_:_ArenaSetup_EN
Daggerfall - theelderscrolls.wiwiland.net/?title=Daggerfall_:_DaggerfallSetup_EN
you do know they can be downloaded FREE on the official page. I dont think they will want to have GOG charge for free games. (ARENA and DAGGERFALL at least are free) all the newer ones (marrowind on up) you can still buy. I do understand they are not setup nice like GOG does, you ahve to deal with DOSBOX your self, but FREE!
Very good guess, Rusty_Gunn. I am one of those people.
@NaverDrol
Maybe because not everyone likes the current DRM it uses? that's my guess
Why should it be released on gog if u can buy it?
If there is one game on GOG that would be instabuy for me, it is this.
Obviously voting, even if I already have all of them... But I can't refuse a GOG DRM free release! :D
Honestly, I think there'd be more chance of the earth exploding tomorrow, especially because of Skyrim and Steamworks. But hey, I voted anyway, can't hurt.
If GOG pulled this off I would certainly purchase it. You have my vote.
And my axe!
Even if now is a blunt weapon...
U have my vote!
