adammohebbi I would immediately purchase this if GOG could make it work. One of my favorite RTS experiences growing up.
nignogbilly this game was great back in the day. not sure how well it would hold up now but i'd imagine it would at least be OK due to how unique some of the gameplay mechanics are. i remember upgrading to windows XP back in the day and trying to play the game and even then it was a headache. hopefully GOG does it!

Capshades If anyone really wants to play this to relive some old memories like I did, you'll need to buy the physical disks, and then google "star wars force commander dgVoodoo2", you'll find some solutions that may work on modern machines.

KamikazeMatrix26Juni Great game, check out TK-2112's great playthrough, but realistically won't happen as Force Commander is a nightmare to run on modern systems. The somewhat extensive PCGW guide "works" (cutscenes have weird interlacing though), but there is no working No-CD patch and perhaps more importantly, Force Commander refuses to work outright on my AMD RX 580, only showing a black screen. It did work on a GT 740M and GT 1030.
In conclusion: One of the few SW games to not be available digitally and that won't change.
Weylin6 This game will have trouble running on modern PCs, I hope GOG can pre-configure it so it runs without the need for 5 hours of troubleshooting in most cases

TK-2112 GoG!!! It needs to happen! Armada has made it on here and now it’s Force Commander’s turn! I even made a full playthrough since nobody has ever made a complete run of FOCOM. So please for the love of all Star Wars fans, RELEASE THIS GAME!!!!!!
wroe18 Would be easier to have it through GoG. If you still have the discs though you can download an installer for 64 bit windows. <a href="http://play-old-PC-games.com" class="light_un" target="_blank"><br /> play-old-PC-games.com</a> has trouble shooting for those games GoG doesn't offer.

Ser_Barristan Together with SW Rebellion, SW Galactic Battlegrounds and SW Empire at War, SW Force Commander is one of the few strategy games that's been made. Ejoyed playing it several times when operating systems still allowed me to run it form cd-rom disk. Good story and entertaining thoughout, way better than the more recent SW Empire at War in my opinion. Hope we will see this game on GOG at some point in the future.
smestn my fav game from my childhood. Please add the newest version, (1.1 or something) since 1.0 tend to freeze. And please add multiplayer support, as the multiplayer is AMAZING. Really want to play this game again.

Seriona With that said, I now for sure that GoG have no excuse that they can't get it working on modern consoles.
Seriona So If anybody cares, there is a patch that some beautiful soul put out there that allows it to run on Windows 10. It does create some graphic issues since it's an old game and there is no patch beyond 1.1 so none of the bugs are fixed.
drummindog It was a fun Star Wars strategy title that wasn't too complicated to play or understand. Some things don't need to be as complicated as some of the more modern strategy titles out there. Would love this one back in the mix!!

archon11 @vintencio: It can be made playable and it works on win10 pro for me with sandbox and an other installer. Problem was the graphic fir 2560x1440 resolution, but i think if GoG developers work on it, it will work flawless like Star Wars Racer.

archon11 1305 Votes at the moment, i hope if it goes up to 5000 so they make it work on Win10 to buy it here, like GoG Team done it nicely with Star Wars Racer. Would pay 10€ or more if they do so and i think others too.
bhendrix1987 This game would be a great addition to the already impressive lineup of other Star Wars games. Like a few have stated this is one of those classics that hours could be spent playing again. Definitely would add this to my library if it were available.
